About....

A native of Great Britain, Sean Walmsley was born in Wales, and educated at Bradfield College, Trinity College Dublin (BA and MA in History), Harvard School of Education (Ed.D). He  joined the Department of Reading at the University at Albany (NY) in 1975, retiring in 2011. He was the author and co-author of numerous books and articles on research and teaching of language arts in K-12 schools.
Photographic Experience and Interest
Sean has had an interest in photography since childhood. He learned darkroom techniques at Bradfield College, worked as a semi-professional photographer at Trinity College, Dublin, and has made photography a serious activity since retirement. His primary interest is in abstract photography, with a focus on nature and encounters in everyday life and travels. More..

Sean’s photographs have been accepted into art shows (juried and non-juried) both locally and regionally since 2017; he has won two awards in juried shows. He belongs to several local and regional art organizations and has participated in many of their shows. More..
