One of the first abstract images I created was of this tree in Saratoga State Park.

Into the Woods

When I look through all the images from my pre-abstract days, a huge number of them focused on trees, close-up or as treescapes. So no surprise that the first abstract images I created were also of trees. While I've extended the range of subjects considerably, I still am drawn to trees because they offer so much more as abstract images. Many of these images were created in Saratoga State Park, just a mile from my home. And there's always something new to explore, such as the last two images here that resulted from coming across trees recently felled.
