I have always been interested in the beams of light that I encounter in and out of my home. Especially the contrast between the sun’s rays and the shadows that are cast on walls, ceilings, outbuildings, trees, and the ground. And it isn’t just the sun, artificial light does it, too. What makes it even more interesting are the textures of the objects receiving or emitting the light. Post-processing allows me to layer these images and create compositions that transcend the literal photographs upon which they are based.
